Arne Electro-Tech is pleased to be able to provide you with a good selection of books through our Electrical Book Store at AETech.com
Arne Electro-Tech is pleased to be able to provide you with an opportunity to purchase books listed to assist you as you prepare to take an electrical exam.
Electrical theory books, electrical code books, and technical and reference books are included in our Electrical Bookstore.
2002 National Electrical Code
The National Electrical Code (NEC) is published every 3 years by the National Fire Protection Association. It is offered as the minimum safety standard for electrical installations, but is not a law until adoped by the respective state or municipal governing body. Every state and city sets its own time line for the adoption of the National Electrical Code. Be sure you know when the 2002 NEC will be adopted by your state or city.
We also have available an excellent 2002 Code Changes book by Mike Holt and 2002 code book tabs. Check it all out in our Electrical Book Store.
1999 National Electrical Code
The National Electrical Code (NEC) is published every 3 years by the National Fire Protection Association. It is offered as the minimum safety standard for electrical installations, but is not a law until adoped by the respective state or municipal governing body.
The 1999 NEC has undergone some major revisions since the 1996 edition in order to improve the readability of a document which is not written in lay-man's terms. This re-write has been successful in helping to clarify and improve many areas, particularly Article 250 on Grounding. Many exceptions have been removed from the 1996 version and re-written into a "positive" text in the 1999 edition, helping to reduce some of the confusion.
The larger format of the 1999 NEC makes it easier reading, and makes the tables much more usable.
2002 Electrician's Exam Preparation book by Mike Holt
I have used the last two editions of Mike Holt's Electrical Exam Preparation book. This is the 2002 version, which has been updated to coincide with the 2002 National Electrical Code. Mike Holt does a great job of keeping his books current and up to date. You can count on this book to deliver the information that you will need to take any level of licensing exam based on the National Electrical Code (NEC).
This book begins with a review of electrician's math and electrical theory and lays the groundwork to understand the NEC requirements for our electrical installations. A review of this nature is very essential before we begin the study of more in-depth calculations in the NEC. Throughout this book, code questions are intermingled with examples and illustrations. More than 2400 problems and questions will help you to review the NEC, and the answer key is included, so you can check yourself and keep on track with your studies.
This book it the most comprehensive exam preparation book ever published and the first ever in full color. The book was written to help you understand electrical theory, the National Electrical Code and every type of electrical calculation that could possibly be on an exam. This textbook takes you step by step through the calculations and includes hundreds of examples and practice questions to ensure comprehension. Based on the 2002 NEC.
